I had such an amazing experience with this group of women, SLP advisors, and Emilian/Stoycho in the Bulgaria and Greece SLP Program! I was immersed into the Greek and Bulgarian culture and it had truly been an eye opening experience. I had not traveled internationally since I was young and I believe that our guides were the sole reason I had loved this experience as much as I did. As an inspiring Speech Language Pathologist, I had volunteered within child care centers, geriatric centers, and adult centers. It had allowed me to realize I wanted to work with elderly residents! I would recommend this experience to any SLP student or those who want to travel abroad!

I had a great experience in Bulgaria and Turkey. We had the best local guides! We had some great cultural experiences and beautiful sights as well as many opportunities to meet with local mental health and medical professionals. I would highly recommend Therapy Abroad.

Such an amazing trip. Truly, they had the kindest people there and made so many new best friends. Seeing another culture and the needs there was incredibly eye-opening. Being able to work hands-on with the kids was super insightful, while also seeing the therapists in action. The things we did on the trip were so much fun, and all the girls had such a great time together. The staff, as well, was super amazing and thoughtful, and made sure we had an amazing and insightful trip. I would do it again any day and am so grateful I was able to be a part of it!!!

Had such a great experience with Therapy Abroad during our humanitarian trip to Dominica. The opportunity to work with both adults and children, provide hearing screenings, and help educate local nurses and medical staff was incredibly meaningful and eye-opening. I’m so grateful for the experience and for the relationships built along the way. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because there were a few organizational/logistical things throughout the trip that could have been communicated more clearly. Overall though, it was still an impactful and rewarding experience that I’ll always appreciate.
